Flow synthesis of room temperature switching nanoparticles

Spin Crossover compounds (SCO) can undergo a reversible electronic configuration change controlled by an external stimulus, such as temperature, pressure or light irradiation (1). Because this phenomenon is associated with some modifications of properties, and especially a change in their magnetic behavior, they are great candidates for applications in data storage, memory device or sensing. However, to implement these applications, it is key to develop compounds whose switching occurs near room conditions. For this purpose, the well-known [Fe(R-trz)3]X2 family is interesting because of the chemical versatility it demonstrates (2)...
