Multimodal Corpora

The structure of this paper is the following. In section 1, multimodal corpora are defined and described, in section 2, reasons are given for why multimodal corpora are created, and in section 3, there is a discussion of some issues to keep in mind when creating and analyzing a multimodal corpus. There is also a discussion of some research directions. In section 4, possible applications are mentioned and section 5, finally, contains some concluding remarks. [Adapted from introduction]
