Russisk funktionalstilistik og fagsprog

Abstract : This contribution offers an introduction to functional stylistics, the special Russian tradition within text type research, and compares it to European traditions. While Russian functional linguistics traditionally distinguishes five basic text types or styles (for scientific-technical texts, official documents, the press, fiction and colloquial conversation), Western research tends to focus on the simple bipartition of language for specific (or special) purposes (LSP) and language for language for general purposes (LGP). The contribution discusses a number of examples of relevance to Russian language studies at an advanced university level.
